PA ring-out practice
Ring out a PA by ear
Ringing out a PA gets easier when the frequency ranges become familiar. Main Act starts with a quick feedback test, then trains the repeated skill: hear the ring, name the band, make the smallest useful move, and keep enough tone for the show.
What to do first
Step 1
Bring the system to the edge carefully.
Step 2
Listen for the first stable ringing band.
Step 3
Cut the narrowest useful band.
Step 4
Repeat only until you have usable gain before feedback.

The fastest automated path is the free feedback test: it gives a concrete score, a weak band, and a reason to start daily Live Sound reps.
Questions
Does this replace measurement software?
No. It trains the ear decision you still need when a room changes, a wedge moves, or a mic goes live.
Can I practice without annoying everyone in the room?
Yes. The browser test simulates the listening part so you can build recognition away from the PA.
