Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to Main Act, including its website, apps, accounts, Vocals, Songwriting, Repertoire schools, lessons, drills, progress features, and related services (together, the “Service”). Main Act provides the Service.

By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service provides structured music education, guided practice, feedback, progress tracking, and browser-based tools. Exercises, scores, recommendations, generated feedback, and educational material are learning aids; they do not guarantee a musical, academic, career, performance, health, or commercial result.

The Service is not a substitute for individualized teaching, medical or hearing-health care, venue safety approval, engineering sign-off, legal advice, or another licensed professional service. Stop a vocal or physical exercise if it causes pain, strain, dizziness, or persistent discomfort.

You must be at least 13 to create an account. If the law where you live requires a higher age or parental authorization, that requirement also applies.

Provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting your sign-in credentials.

• Do not share credentials or let another person use your account.
• Tell Main Act Support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Use Account controls to correct profile information, export account data, or request deletion.

The Service may offer free access, recurring plans, trials, promotions, and one-time plans. Feature limits and plan scope are shown in the product or at checkout and may differ by product, school, platform, eligibility, or promotion.

For a recurring plan, you authorize the payment provider to charge the displayed amount at the displayed interval until you cancel. Cancel before the next renewal through the Main Act account portal or the app store that processed the purchase. Store-billed purchases are also subject to that store’s billing and refund rules.

Stripe or the applicable app store processes payment credentials. Main Act receives transaction and subscription details needed to provide access, but does not receive your full card number from Stripe Checkout.

You may use the Service for personal or professional learning. You may not:

• bypass access controls, usage limits, or payment systems;
• use bots, scraping, or automated access without written permission;
• interfere with the Service, probe for vulnerabilities, or distribute malware;
• reverse-engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• impersonate another person, abuse public or support features, or use the Service unlawfully; or
• copy or redistribute substantial Service content outside the permissions these Terms grant.

Main Act and its licensors retain their rights in the Service, including its curriculum, interface, drills, writing, graphics, software, and original audio. Artist, song, venue, equipment, and product references identify third-party works or systems for educational discussion; those works and marks remain with their respective owners.

You retain your rights in lyrics, drafts, charts, audio, documents, images, notes, and other material you choose to submit or save. You give Main Act only the permissions reasonably needed to operate the feature you chose. A feature-specific privacy note controls whether an input stays on your device or is sent to an account or processing service.

Some lessons, prompts, explanations, critiques, recommendations, or product code may be created or revised with AI assistance and human direction. AI-assisted output may contain errors, omissions, or unsuitable suggestions. Treat it as a practice aid, check important claims against reliable sources, and do not use it as the only basis for a safety-critical or professional decision.

Use the correction route on the Support page when something appears unsafe, inaccurate, infringing, or misleading.

Main Act may improve, add, remove, or discontinue features and may update free limits or paid plan offerings. We will not retroactively change a completed charge, and we will provide notice when applicable law or a material plan change requires it.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security work, network failures, provider outages, or events outside Main Act’s control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Main Act does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Main Act will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, business opportunity, or data arising from use of the Service. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate actions: cancel through the payment provider if you do not want another renewal, and use the guarded Account deletion workflow if you want account data removed.

Main Act may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, comply with law, address nonpayment, or respond to a material breach. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Main Act may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Nothing here waives a consumer right or remedy that cannot be waived. Contact Main Act Support first so we can try to resolve a concern directly.
