1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Main Act ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Main Act is a web-based music training platform that provides structured lessons, ear training exercises, songwriting tools, vocal coaching, and progress analytics. The Service is available as a free tier with limited features and as a paid Pro subscription with full access.
3. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
- Free tier: Limited access to introductory exercises and one session per day.
- Monthly Pro: $24.95/month, billed monthly. Cancel anytime.
- Yearly Pro: $142/year ($11.83/month), billed annually. Cancel anytime.
- Lifetime Pro: $495 one-time payment. Access for life.
All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel through the Customer Portal accessible from your Account page.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@mainact.app within 14 days of purchase for refund requests.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass subscription restrictions or payment systems
- Use automated tools to access the Service (scraping, bots)
- Share your account credentials with others
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
6. Intellectual Property
All content in the Service — including exercises, curriculum design, training materials, and analytics — is owned by Main Act. Song references (titles, artist names) are used for educational purposes under fair use. You retain ownership of your personal practice data.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Main Act is not a substitute for professional music instruction or medical advice. If you experience persistent discomfort while practicing, consult a medical professional.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Main Act shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
9. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
